Visit RU and learn about your own studies!

The time has once again arrived to hold the annual Visitor Days at Roskilde University. An estimated 900 potential students will visit the university over three days to weigh up all aspects of RU and RU-people. This is all part of their efforts to decide where they will spend the next few years of their life.

That is a choice that must be thought through very carefully!

The pros and cons, academic, social and diverse individual considerations must be weighed and balanced before the application deadlines on the 15th of March and 5th of July respectively.

Naturally, there is a desire on the part of the organisers that the visitors have an enjoyable and constructive day at RU, where they feel that that have been provided with adequate information and have received a positive impression of the university. For all those who have already selected RU as their place of study or employment, these will also be some exciting days when potential students occupy the environment.

The campus will be buzzing with expectations and interest in the university and that will generate a lot of new energy, because when you meet the visitors, you see RU through their eyes.

It provides a moment of respite from everyday life to see yourself from a different perspective, and sometimes we all need that!

At RU’s annual visitor’s day/open house, you can hear more about RU’s four Danish basic studies programmes, including the new Hum-Tek programme, and the three international basic studies programmes and also about the specialised subjects.

There will also be an opportunity to take a guided tour around the basic studies houses with students who are studying on the relevant basic programmes.

After the introduction and guided tour, an Education Market will be held where all of RU’s subjects will be represented by students and teachers. There will be an opportunity to receive information material and ask questions about the subject or subjects in which you are interested.

The university’s Student Guidance Office will participate with a stall, where they answer questions about admission, terms of admittance etc.

If you are considering studying at RU, then the upcoming Visitor Days are a unique opportunity to come along and get first-hand information about what it entails and you can use the day to speak with other applicants and exchange experiences with them.

In other words, drop by and learn more about your future studies.

The Visitor Days will be held:

Monday the 19th of April 2010, 12.30 pm – 5 pm.

Wednesday the 21st  of April 2010, 9.30 am – 2 pm.
