About the IT department
IT's overall task is to operate, develop and support IT systems and equipment that support the research and teaching that takes place at the university. The department consists of a management and 8 small sections who handle the various tasks:

The IT department has a staff of 16 full-time employees and resides in buildings 30B.2 and 44.1. IT's overall task is to operate, develop and support IT systems and equipment that support the research and teaching that takes place at the university.
- Management: CIO Henrik Leonhardt, IT Deputy Manager Mads Sinkjær Kjærgaard, Secretariat Helle Smith
- AV Centre: Loan of AV equipment, technical support for and production of audio-visual material
- Helpdesk: User administration, IT-support, teaching and guidance for all staff and students in RUC's IT-systems
- IT support for the University Administration: User administration and IT support for staff in the University Administration
- IT security: Planning and control tasks regarding IT security and information and counselling tasks concerning IT security
- Network: Responsibility for the wireless network, the fixed-line network, backbone, firewalls, access to the Research Network etc.
- Servers: Operation of systems for the Student Service Centre, personnel, finance, the Records Office, www.ruc.dk, email, project and course applications, file services, printers, calendars etc.
- Development: Development of systems such as portalino.ruc.dk, web applications that integrate the administrative systems, data retrieval for other sections etc.
