Read about Akira in the list of IT systems. 

In order to access Akira, you can use the free FTP client FileZilla. The program is available for both Windows, Mac and Linux. You can download it from this page. Begin by downloading and installing the program.

NB: If you need to access Akira from outside of RUC, you have to log in via VPN. Learn how to do that here.

Open the FileZilla program.

In the field Host, write sftp://akira.ruc.dk

In the field Username, type in your RUC username (your email address without @ruc.dk)

In the field Password, type in your RUC password - i.e. the same password as the one you use for webmail, portalino, etc.

Finally, type in the number 22 in the Port field.

Choose Quickconnect.

In the pop-up window that appears, check the box for Always trust this host, add this key to the cache and then click OK.

You should now be able to see the content on your part of the Akira server and to upload files etc.
