Why can't I login?
If you have problems logging on it is important firstly, to find out whether the problem is with the various services on the web or with the local computers in your department. If you have problems logging on with a local computer at RU, but can still log on from home to for example Portalino and Webmail, you should contact your local IT-staff member. See the overview who is locally responsible for IT in the various buildings and departments.
If you have problems logging on to the various IT-services, Portalino, Webmail, BSCW, etc. it may be because you are entering an incorrect password. If you have a Danish NemID, you can use this to log in and change your password. If your mobile number is registrered in our system, you can get a new password sent by text message. Lastly, you can also get a new password by personal application at our Helpdesk secretariat. You have to come in person - we do not issue passwords via email or phone due to security reasons - remember to bring a photo ID - but check the following first:
- A common mistake is typing for example peter@ruc.dk as a user name. It should only be peter.
- Entries are case sensitive, i.e. there is a difference between small and capital letters, so make sure that CapsLock has not been activated.
- Some symbols can be tricky. For example, a capital 'O' resembles a '0' (zero) and a lower case 'l' can look like a '1' (one).
