The Chancellor's Office handles tasks and is in charge of reviews in connection with the overall political, strategic and administrative management of the university, such as

• Secretariat services for the board, the Academic Council, the Rector, the Pro-Rector, the University Director, meetings of the Executive University Management, meetings of the Directors and also a number of committees and the RUC Foundation.
• Reviews in connection with the central administration- and development areas and organisational conditions.
• Sparring, counselling and reviews in connection with the planning of the University’s strategic focus areas and development aims, such as in connection with the preparation of the development contract.
• The Chancellor's Office provides legal advice in matters concerning the university law and other university- and company legal matters. Moreover, does the Chancellor's Office offer advice regarding additional legal situations like for example contracts, action for damages, insurances, copyright and public legal matters.
• The Chancellor's Office also undertakes reviews of the rectorship’s contracts, complaints and appeal cases in connection with the legality checks of the University Director.
• The Chancellor's Office handles reported inventions and hereof is in charge of patenting and commercialization.
• IT Security.
• Together with the Information Office the Chancellor's Office are responsible for the representative obligations of the university.
