Planning Studies
NOTE: Please note that this programme is only offered in Danish
Planning Studies are a new sociological, social scientific and cross-curricular programme with focus on urbanisation. The programme is new and was offered for the first time in 2009 at the Department of Environmental, Social and Spatial Changes (ENSPAC). From spring 2010 Masters as well as Bachelor module are offered.
Plannings Studies are close cooperation with SAM.BAS and HUM.TEK.
The term Planning must be understood in a wide sense - i.e. intentional attempts to form the unfinished future, as proactive development strategies for the local communities, cities and regions build on social, ecological and democratic values.
The future planning is bid for big challenges where the cross-curricular profile of RUC is a good place to start to be able to be an important factor in the field.
There are needs for new planners who are able to make critical analysis of relations of power, dominating debates and creative designs of visions and planning processes.
