Kick-off seminar for RU's strategic research initiative in Environmental Risk
Thursday 19 September at 2 pm, there are kick-off seminar for RU strategic research initiative in Environmental Risk at ENSPAC. The event til take place in building 02 in GeoFagsalen.
The title of the seminar is: ”From Field to Fjord – environmental risks”.
After the seminar, at aprox. 4 pm, there will be a reception.
At the seminar Professor Allen Burton from University of Michigan, USA will hold a lecture in connection with his appointment of Honorary Doctor in Natural Sciences at ENSPAC. The title of his lecture is: Natural and anthropogenic stressors in aquatic ecosystems”.
Allen Burton’s CV lists over 150 scientific publications within a wide range of high impact aquatic environmental science scientific journals. A major theme in his research is the importance role of natural stressors (e.g., changes in temperature) and anthropogenic (man-made) stressors (e.g., pesticides) for the ecological health and status of aquatic organisms and ecosystems
