The department of Science, Systems and Models (NSM) offers the following Bachelor and Master programmes:

General Biology

In General Biology you focus on studies of life on earth from colon bacteria to the complex eco systems on earth. Therefore, General Biology includes both white coats, flasks, nets and wellingtons. General Biologists have special skills in communicating enthusiasm for Biology to the future high school students. (only in Danish)

Physics

The studies of Physics are the studies of the material nature on all levels from the smallest elementary particles to the biggest university with stars and galaxies.  The experimental methods in physics are often the forerunner of high techonologic development in society. By combining theoretical physics with mathematical models you can predict and understand occurrences and connections in the world of physics.

Chemistry

Chemistry on RUC has an eye for chemistry in a green way: The chemical optimizing of sun cells, production of second generations bioethanol, synthesis of new bio active connections, investigation of useful natural substances, ingenious use of surface substances and development of something like bio sensors used of advanced methods, relevant knowledge and chemically consideration all the way through.

Mathematics

Students of Mathematics are led through the mathematical fundamental principles while acquiring mathematical way of thinking and intuition through courses and project work. Included in your studies you will look at the subject in a greater perspective, like the philosophical significance and relevance in society.

Medical Biology

Medical Biology has focus on the biological as well as the medical aspects of human diseases: How can new knowledge be used in developing new treatments. Medical Biologists are therefore made for interdisciplinary disease reseach. (only in Danish).

Molecular Biology

Molecular Biology is the study of the fundamental processes of life: How can DNA, RNA and proteins create so complex and different living organisms? How can this knowledge be used as a tool of combating of starvation, diseases, pollution, clima disasters and criminality?

The Bachelor Studies in Natural Sciences

The department also provides education and supervision for the Bachelor Studies in Natural Sciences, which is connected to the department.
