This research group focuses on studying three key themes within the field: globalisation processes, regionalisation processes and the European Union. These three areas have undergone vast and rapid transformation during the past couple of decades. This transformation has hampered our understanding of how social, political and economic interaction across national borders works and how such interaction affects the nature and function of the state.
