EU-Studies

The European Union has led to the amalgamation of international and national politics. EU-Studies looks into the institutions of the European Union to understand the decision making processes and rationale behind the politics as well as the member states' adapotation to these processes and rationale.

Public Administration (Scient. adm.)

Effective and democratic solutions for collective projects is one of the challenges facing the modern 'network society' of today. An education in Public Administration will give you insite into how these challenges can be prevented by utilising political and administrative organisations on all levels.

Global Studies

Globalisation infiltrates all aspects of society. Global Studies focuses on what drives globalisation and its consequent effect on the three central spheres of society: state, market and civil society.

International Development Studies

International Development Studies (IDS) streches over many topics, geographical and academic issues. IDS deals with possibilities for and hinderances of development in developing countries. IDS revolves around the attempt to understand a country's situation, the barriers that may stand in the way for development and in what ways these barriers can be knocked down. For example, students could choose to look into the native Americans' position in Latin American society, states in Africa and problems with governance or China's 'one child policy'.

Politics and Administration

In Denmark as well as in other countries and international organisations a central question would be how to design and develop public project solutions in the best possible way. This question is, broadly speaking, political and is a fundamental element in Politics and Administration.

Social Science

Social Science concerns itself with the welfare state and the welfare society. Central questions in the programme is: Why does the welfare state in Denmark have its present form? What consequences does the welfare state have for various groups within the society? What is the future of the welfare state? And, how can the welfare state be made better?
