Research
The research projects done at the Department of Psychology and Educational Studies are at the intersection between the Humanities and social science. The research is carried out by research groups who work together on cross-disciplinary research projects. The problem-oriented approach used and the aim of making practice-oriented research call for researchers’ cooperation across the traditional disciplines of psychology and pedagogy. Perspectives and methods from anthropology, sociology, philosophy, biology, and history are used in the analysis of various subjects.
It is a stated objective of the department to maintain and develop a strong international position within the fields of social psychology and lifelong learning as well as developing the department’s position among psychological and pedagogical research areas and educations in Denmark.
The researchers at the department are part of an extensive international network of leading research environments. Fruitful collaborations between externally funded research, the prioritized research areas of the department, and its educations are encouraged and appreciated.
