Assistant Professor Supervisor at RU
UniPæd recommends holding an interview to discuss expectations and clarifications between the newly appointed assistant professor, the department's manager/ambassador responsible for education, the assistant professor supervisor and a representative from UniPæd.
It is also recommended that a written agreement should be drawn up, specifying the rights and obligations of both the assistant professor and the supervisor in connection with the guidance and supervision process. In this way, the agreement will contribute to mutually clarifying expectations. UniPæd recommends that the agreement should be put in place within 3 months after the appointment of the assistant professor.
The interview also serves to clarify the assistant professor supervisor's role.
A paper that clarifies the assistant professor's duties, rights and opportunities will be available around 1 May 2013.
