General qualifications
When assessing your application, emphasis is given to the following qualifications:
- The ability to familiarize yourself with new material, including written material in foreign languages
- Written communication skills
- The ability to cooperate and work in a project group
In regards to academic qualifications, applicants must have competence in general education subjects at upper secondary level. A basic knowledge of subjects such as history, social science, English, mathematics, geography is a foundation for all the undergraduate programmes. Furthermore, it is assumed that applicants can read literature in at least one of the foreign languages English, German or French.
Specific qualifications
International Bachelor Study Programme in Natural Science
The subject areas included in this programme is mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography and computer science. Applicants are expected to have knowledge of mathematics at Danish A-level and physics and chemistry at Danish B-level. If you do not fulfil these requirements, you will usually be expected to complete supplementary courses before semester start.
International Bachelor Study Programme in Social Science
The subject areas included in this programme is economics, political science and sociology as well as 'planning, space and resources'. When assessing applicants, emphasis is given to knowledge of business economics, geography, philosophy and possibly psychology. Knowledge of these subjects should at least correspond to subjects at the Danish B-level or Danish C-level. Moreover, it is a requirement that you have passed the following subjects before the application deadline: mathematics at Danish B-level, English at Danish B-level and either history or social studies or contemporary history at Danish B-level.
International Bachelor Study Programme in Humanities
HumanitiesThis programme includes four dimensions: 'Subjectivity and learning', 'History and Culture', 'Signs and text' and 'Science and Philosophy'. English, French and German also plays a major role within the humanities field. The International Bachelor Study Programme in Humanities requires knowledge of English at Danish B-level and an additional language at upper secondary school level.
It is an advantage that the applicant for the International Bachelor Study Programme in Humanities has knowledge of their mother tongue at Danish A-level. In addition, one should have knowledge of English at Danish B-level and additional language foreign, e.g. French or German. The language used at the International Bachelor Study Programme in Humanities is primarily English, both in the courses and in most projects.
