Quota 1
Applicants who apply in quota 1 are evaluated exclusively on the basis of their qualifying examinations.
This is only possible where the grading system of the applicant's qualifying examination is translatable to the Danish grading system. Applicants with qualifying examinations from countries with grading systems that are incompatible with the Danish grading system must apply instead in quota 2. If in doubt, applicants should apply in quota 2. Applicants who need a residence permit to study in Denmark, should apply through quota 3.
Roskilde University has set levels of guaranteed admission ("garantikvotient"), which means that all applicants with a qualifying examination with a translatable grade average meeting the requirements are guaranteed admission, if they also meet the general requirements and specific requirements.
In 2013 the guaranteed admission levels (in Danish grades) are:
International Bachelor Study Programme in Humanities: 7-point scale: 7.5
International Bachelor Study Programme in Social Science: 7-point scale: 7.5
International Bachelor Study Programme in Natural Science: all applicants that meet the specific requirements are guaranteed admission regardless of the grade average.
As a general rule, all EU/EEA upper secondary examinations are translatable to the Danish grading scale. Non-EU examinations are not translatable to the Danish grading scale.
