Digital communication

RU only communicates with applicants through digital platforms. We use the communication channels mentioned below. It is important that you are aware of our communication channels to make sure you do not miss important messages and deadlines from us regarding your application and admission.

E-mail

We send e-mails to the e-mail address you have registered when you uploaded your application at optagelse.dk. You must check this e-mail address frequently, as we may require further documentation with a very short deadline.

Postbox.ruc.dk

As an applicant at RU, you will be assigned a personal mailbox at postbox.ruc.dk. Letters such as receipts, reminders, letters of refusal or admission will be uploaded to your personal RU mailbox This mailbox is active, when we have registered your application. You will receive an e-mail with further instructions, when your mailbox is activated When we upload letters to your mailbox, you will receive a notification by e-mail. We send a notification to the e-mail you have registered when you uploaded your application at optagelse.dk.  Please check new mail immediately to make sure you do not miss an important message or deadline!

How to log on to postbox.ruc.dk

You can log on to postbox.ruc.dk after you have received an e-mail from RU with a link to the webpage with one of the following login solutions.

NemID

NemID is a Danish digital signature. It is a single login for public websites in Denmark.

All applicants who have – or is able to get NemID, must log on with NemID. Read more about NemID here: https://www.nemid.nu/dk-en/

Personal code

Applicants who does not have a Danish CPR-number cannot get NemID (temporary “self-constructed” CPR-numbers, with numbers and letters are not valid). If you cannot use NemID you must request a personal code from RU. You may request a personal code by following the instructions received in the initial e-mail, as described above. It takes up to 5-8 days before you receive the code. The code is only e-mailed to the e-mail address you have registered when you uploaded your application at optagelse.dk. When you log on to postbox.ruc.dk you must use the code in combination with the same CPR-number you registered when you uploaded your application at optagelse.dk.

eBoks

Letters containing decisions (i.e. letters of admission or refusal) is uploaded to both postbox.ruc.dk and to eBoks. eBoks is a Danish digital letterbox where you can receive mail from most businesses in major industries, as well as from all Danish municipalities, regional authorities and government bodies. To sign up for eBoks you need NemID and thus you need a Danish CPR-number (see above).
