About the programme
In the International Study Programme in Natural Sciences, you can gradually specialise in a given subject or have a strong specialist profile from commencement of your studies.
During the first 1½ years, you are introduced to basic methodology used to study nature in the form of experiments, analyses and models. You can take courses within the subjects Computer Science, Environmental Biology, Molecular Biology, Physics, Geography, Chemistry, Mathematics, Theory of Science Studies and Educational Theory of the Natural Sciences. Some courses are optional, others are mandatory.
During the last 1½ years, you specialise in two parallel bachelor subjects. One subject must be within the Natural Sciences. The following subjects are offered in English.

You can choose your other subject from any of the Roskilde University Bachelor disciplines. It can be in the Natural Science as well as the Humanities, the Social Sciences or the Humanities and Technology. The following combinations are particularly supported as research areas at Roskilde University.
Environment, resources and production: Bachelor degree in one or two of the subjects TekSam, Environmental Biology and Geography.
Molecular medicine and Biochemistry: Bachelor degree in the subjects Molecular Biology and Chemistry.
Modelling in Science: Bachelor degree in two of the subjects chemistry, mathematics or physics.
IT in Natural Science: Bachelor degree with a combination of computer science and another discipline from natural science.
Science and Communication: Bachelor degree as a combination of a science subject with either Journalism or Communication.
