Business Studies is offered at bachelor and master level as part of RU's combination programmes
Bachelor module: The functions and ressources of the firm
The aim of the bachelor module of Business Studies is to give the student a fundamental understanding of the firm and it's function, and of the methods and theories that are relevant for the study of the corporation. In addition, it is the aim of the module to give the student a theoretical and methodological basis for the economic evaluation and use of the different resources of the firm. The project should deal with a problem selected by own choice in relation to general business theory, organisation, leadership, technology and innovation, finance and economic management, marketing and sales, external accounting or business law.

1. masters module: The development, organisation & management of the firm.
1. masters module has the aim to give the student an insight in the organization and in the internal and external resources and functions of the firm. This includes the following topics:
1. Marketing and communication
2. Globalization and Business Policy
3. Corporate Governance, ethics and responsibility
4. Business law and economics
5. Innovation, technology and experience economy
6. Organisation and knowledge
7. PR, legitimacy and brands
8. Managment, strategy and organisation
9. Finance and investments
10. Human resource management and business culture

2. masters module: The economy, administration and strategy of the firm.
The aim of the module is that the student must independently and with a high academic level combine the obtained knowledge from the bachelor module and 1. masters module. The student must give a mature and reflected understanding of the economy, administration and strategies of the firm. It is also the aim to complete the master programme while giving the student an insight in the newest business theory.
2. masters module can be completed the following 3 ways:
1. The master thesis is written in your other subject and your 2. masters module will therefore be structured as 1. masters module.
2. You are writing an integrated thesis (15 ects from eacf subject), and you must therefore complete courses of 15 ects at both your subjects.
3. You are writing your thesis at Business Studies.
