Full degree Graduate
Business Studies is a combination master’s programme which combines Business Studies with one of RU's other subjects (each 60 ECTS points). Depending on the main study area of the master thesis the programme leads to one of the following degrees:
- Master of Arts (Humanities)
- Master of Science (Natural Sciences)
- Master of Social Science ( Social Science)
Admission: Applicants who hold a Bachelor degree from Roskilde University
As a Bachelor degree holder from Roskilde University you are guaranteed admission to the Business Studies master programme if you meet the following requirements:
- Business Studies is one of your bachelor specialisation subjects or you have completed the single subject bachelor BSc of Business Administration and
- You begin your master degree studies directly after you graduated from your bachelor degree studies and
- You apply before the deadline
Remember that you also have to meet the requirements of your other subject.
You are not required to write a motivated application. You must apply for the masters programmes at the subject registration at www.portalino.ruc.dk. Learn more about how to apply here

Admission: Applicants who hold a Bachelor degree from another University
If you have completed a bachelor degree from another university, you can apply for the masters in Business Studies in combination with another subject. You can see here which masters programmes Roskilde University offers.

The Study Board of Business Studies assess each applicant individually. In order to be considered for admittance to the Business Studies master programme applicants must have passed as a minimum 30 ects of studies within relevant study areas of Business Studies. Emphasis is placed on qualifications within Sociology, Economy, and methods of Social Science, equal to the courses at RU's Basic Studies programme of Social Sciences. Examples of relevant study areas are Organisational Theory, Sociology, Business Economics, Marketing, Business Law. Moreover applicants must have knowledge of Science Studies and methods at an academical level.
The Study Board first and foremost emphasized the educational background of applicants, however work experience and study/travel abroad is also relevant.
The Study Board emphasises that the motivated application, besides the specific motivation letter, also contains a statement of your academic qualification.
