Project work at Computer Science
The PLIS research group keep a list of project proposals for students. You can see the proposals here.
Project groups are an important platform for academic and social development. The groups are usually small, and the students choose their groups and project themes. These are chosen at the beginning of the school year when Computer Science holds a project marked. Here, students and counselors can present project themes, and the students can discuss with counselors, each other and potential organisations before choosing.
On Computer Science, it is an obvious choice to write projects in coorporation with organisations or companies. This gives students an excellent opportunity to work with IT in actual user and development situations.
Possible themes for projects could be: development of an IT solution from scratch, an app meant to use at a specific event, digitalisation strategies for a company, immersion in games, robot programming for a specific purpose, analysis of ethical or methodological problems regarding and IT solution, etc.
The students learns to work independently, critically and methodologically with a computer scientific subject. At the end of the master's, the student will have practical experience in defining a problem and solving it through relevant theories and methods.
Why project work?
At RU, we believe that the best way for you to acquire knowledge and experience as a student is to study the problem areas that interest you. For this reason, the studies at RUC focus on problem-oriented project work.
