Project work
Project work is an important academic and social factor in the study programme English. At the two first modules of the programme, it is common that you work together in small groups of 3-5 students. At the third and final module, where the groups are often smaller or students work individually, seminars will be held for all students. These seminars offers the possibility of meeting and exchanging ideas and discussing common problems.
Courses
The courses typically consists of 10-40 students. The form of teaching is normally class teaching, but in several courses, e.g. grammar, textual analysis and translation, group work will also occur.

Lectures
In addition to the regular courses, the research groups at the Department of Culture and Identity host a series of lectures each semester. At these lectures, you can find out more about the newest research within the subject of English and its related research areas, e.g. sociolinguistics; literature and aesthetics; media and culture; and functional grammar and pragmatics.
Study trip
Each semester, the students and teachers organise a study trip to one of the geographical areas covered in the study programme. The last semesters, we have had trips to London, Cambridge, New York and Dublin.
