At the 2nd MA module, you can complete your studies by choosing one of the following options:

• An MA dissertation 
• A depth module project
• An integrated MA dissertation, where the dissertation constitutes the joint completion of both subjects of your Master studies programme

An MA dissertation
When you choose to write your dissertation in only one of the subjects of your Master studies, it means you will be specialising in this subject - in this case English. The module consists solely of writing your dissertation and you must demonstrate academic insight and competencies at a scientific level. You are free to chose which theoretical and/or empirical subject within the area of English language, culture and society you wish to work in depth with.

The depth module project
The depth module project focuses on text and theory. The module consists solely of project work, within which you must demonstrate academic insight and competencies at a scientific level. You are free to chose which theoretical and/or empirical subject within the area of English language, culture and society you wish to work in depth with.

An integrated MA dissertation
The integrated MA dissertation means specializing in both English and your other subject. This module contains the integrated dissertation work as well as another project work. In both cases, you need to demonstrate academic insight and competencies at a scientific level. You are free to chose which theoretical and/or empirical subject within the area of English language, culture and society you wish to work in depth with.
