The study environment at Environmental Biology is very international. Approx. one third of the students come from foreign countries (e.g. The US, Spain, China and the Baltic countries). All teaching is therefore held in English. The students are at ENSPAC daily and therefore it becomes a very strong social environment where the students get to know each other very well.

Besides the formal teaching, a line of field trips are arranged each semester. Furthermore the environmental biologists hold a barbecue party and a Christmas lunch once a year. Finally the students met often with students from other scientific programmes in the famous Friday bar “Chemo bar” which is held once or twice a month.
