Mathematic
Environmental Biology uses increasingly advanced mathematical models. These models are used to analyse and describe complicated biological correlations and especially for management. In spite of the increasing need, many environmental biologists do not have the necessary mathematical knowledge to develop such models and at the same time many mathematicians do not have the necessary biological knowledge to avoid the pitfalls in biological modeling. This combination closes the gap between mathematic and biology. The combination aims especially towards a career within research, but there are also a great need for specialists in biological modeling and statisticians with biological knowledge within environmental management and within consultative environmental consultancies.
