There is an increasing need to communicate complicated correlations in a simple and easy understandable way. Communicating knowledge, PR for action plans and research journalism forms an interesting working area for biologists who wish to combine academic knowledge with creative knowledge and media technology. Environmental problems represent one of the greatest challenges of our time and the solution to these problems requires an increased awareness among ordinary people about the reason for the problems, the connection and the consequences. Environmental biologists, who has academic knowledge to understand these problems and who at the same time are able to use the communication methods of our time, will therefore have crucial significance for our mutual future.
