Career and competencies
Graduating with EU-Studies as one of your subjects would make you able to compose critical, competent interdisciplinary analyses of the political, economic and legal functions of the EU.
The graduates can identify problems related to EU-policies in the member states, the regions and the NGO's and find suitable solutions.
The fields of work for the graduates with EU-studies are political development, counselling, evaluation and regulation. The tasks may be analysing pros and cons in relation to a political initiative, composing idea catalogues for new initiatives and perform tactical counselling in relation to approval and implementation of a policy.
The graduates may be employed by ministries and regional and local public administrations. Other obvious employers would be the international organisations like the EU Institutions and the interest groups seeking influence on the EU. The private consulting companies are carrying out many tasks for the EU Institutions and searching for employees with the knowledge of the European policies.
The Bachelor programme of EU-studies gives access to the Master programme in Public Administration. The Masters of Public Administration have a high employment rate. At the Master programme of Public Administration, you may choose to continue specialising in EU matters and broaden the perspective to the international arena.
As two subject combination graduates, the careers will depend on which combination you choose.
