Neo-geography is about people using and creating their own maps, on their own terms and by combining elements of an existing toolset. « (Turner, 2006)!

This course will take its point of departure in the radical cartography and will explore the arguments and consequences of radical cartography. From here, the course will explore concepts such as Participatory GIS (PGIS), community mapping and neo-geography. The course will attempt to establish a bridge between the theoretical knowledge and discussions and the practical mapping exercises. From the beginning, students will be asked to participate actively, not just in the discussions, but also in the production of our own map project, based on everyday experiences of the students and using freely available tools on the internet. Hopefully, the will pave the road for an interactive course!
