Structure
Informatics consists of a bachelor module and two master's modules, each worth 30 ECTS points (50% courses, 50% project work).
These module descriptions apply for students who started their bachelor studies at RUC between September 1st, 2005 and September 1st, 2012.
Course structure
During your study at Computer Science, you will follow four courses each worth 7,5 ECTS points, two on the bachelor module and four on the first master's module. The courses are separated into three groups of varying academic level. This gives the student some freedom in regards to course choice.

Bachelor module
The bachelor module at Informatics is not currently offered in English.
The Masters modules (K1 and K2)
The first Masters module (K1) consists of four courses, each worth 7.5 ECTS. The courses build upon the knowledge gained during the bachelor module.
In the first Masters module, the central theme is application of IT. The student learns about core areas of Informatics in regards to theories, concepts, methods and techniques related to analyzing and realizing IT applications.
Project work happens during the second masters module (K2). Here, you will write a thesis, a regular project or an integrated thesis depending on the student's choice. During this module, the student works with an independently chosen, specific, advanced project within the field of Informatics.
