Career and competences

With a Masters in Informatics, you are qualified to work with complex issues regarding the use of information technologies in the private business world as well as the public sector. A Masters in Informatics is suitable for jobs such as

  • IT counselors or
  • IT project managers

in companies or organizations. Within these job functions, you can work with the acquisition and implementation of IT systems. This may include tasks such as planning, completing and managing both larger and smaller projects where IT is implemented and adjusted to specific situations or needs.

The job possibilities for each student will also depend on the subject with which he or she chooses to combine Informatics.

A degree in Informatics teaches you to be the person with a foot in each camp. This means you can discuss technical design with a computer scientist while also knowing what the user of the IT solution really needs.

In short; you will become the link between the programmer and the people using the IT systems.

Furthermore, with the right combination Informatics offers you the opportunity to teach at a high school level.
