Research Groups
As an interdisciplinary programme, Social Entrepreneurship and Management is building on Social Sciences disciplines such as sociology and organisation as well as more recent research in innovation, social entrepreneurship, social enterprise, CSR, business planning, leadership and governance. Accordingly, several Research Groups at RU are central to the programme:
Social Innovation
The research group develop and share knowledge on social innovation processes, learning and competency development, and innovative management styles. The perspective is interdisciplinary and in part draws on psychological, pedagogical, and sociological perspectives, while also drawing on barrier-breaking knowledge which applies to the areas we study.
Organisations, Change and Management
The Research Group studies current changes in private and public companies and organisations and their relations to the sorrounding society. It analyses the consequences of these changes for the management, the employees and society in a broader sense.
Innovation in Business and Enterprises
The theme for this research group is development of enterprises in a changing global world. Society and markets are changing and enterprises need to innovate to create value and quality for customers and the society. Even organisations in the public sector and voluntary organisations need to innovate. The conditions for industrial policy are also changing.
