Important things to remember before and during an exam:
- In order to be allowed to take the exam you must be there 30 minutes before the exam starts for a written exam and 60 minutes for an oral exam.
- Bring RU student ID card.
- Fill out the white sheet on the table and give it to the proctors.
- Put your Danish social security number and number of pages on each page.
- Your name only appears on the top copy of each page.
- Write with a ballpoint pen and make sure that your writing is legible all the way through to the last copy of each page. If a teacher or censor cannot read your writing, s/he may decide to refuse to mark your exam. Or marks may be lost due to illegible writing.
- Be aware of what plagiarism is! Here is a good link to help you understand what to do and what not to do: http://www.en.stopplagiat.nu
- During the exam, you may not communicate with others, either in or outside the examination room. If necessary, you can attract the attention of the proctors by raising your hand: for example if you need more writing paper or if you wish to visit the toilet.
- Smoking is not allowed in the examination room. Smoking outside the examination room is only allowed to a limited extent - provided a proctor is present and smoking is allowed in the building.
- You may bring your own food and drink to the exam.
- If you have not handed in the answers before the last hour of the examination, you must stay for the last full hour.
- The original, top white copy should be put in the white envelope and the other copies, except the last, put in one of appropriately colored envelopes. The last copy is your own copy to keep.
- Each envelope must have the necessary information on the front (exam code and name and semester, subject, class, national registration number of candidate, number of pages, notes - if any, date, signature).
- Write on the envelope BEFORE putting the paper in!! And do not put your name on any but the white envelope.
- Lecturers and censors have 30 days to grade the exams.
Student I.D. Card
You will receive your student identification card during the first few weeks in the start of the semester. The card serves as an ID card at RU and is a requirement when attending exams.
Email
All students are given an email address at RUC, and we suggest you use this email address while studying at RUC. If you choose not to, you must go into this mailbox and set a forwarding command to your preferred email address. The only email address used by RUC to communicate with students once you are in Denmark and a student at RUC is the RUC address, so you must get your RUC email in one way or another. Information about courses and exams will be sent to your RUC email address. If you forward your mail, go to your RUC email account frequently and delete things in your inbox and then empty the trash! Otherwise mail will not get to you if you have exceeded your quota.
