Strategic Research Initiatives 2012-2015
With Strategy 2015, Roskilde University will focus on strengthening the university's profile in research. Roskilde University has a strong brand as an educational institution, but has traditionally been less pronounced on the research side. Despite the fact that a lot of interesting and relevant research is being carried out at Roskilde University.
The research areas that are constituting the Strategic Research Initiative for the next 3 years, were identified on the basis of a research evaluation of the university's research activities. International panels have commented on the evaluation and based on the material, the departments have described the research profile and have identified the university's areas of strengths.
The Strategic Research Initiatives take their point of departure in existing research activities, but they bring new and exciting research questions in play across departments and research groups. Over the next three years the four areas will explore their potentials, with a special focus on the interaction with the outside world and promotion of the research conducted at RUC.
