Designing Human Technologies

The priority area Designing Human Technologies gather an interdisciplinary  group of researchers from various Departments and form the basis of developing the technical scientific faculty of the university with the dimensions design, human science and technology. From ENSPAC the research groups METRIK and MOSPUS are participating together with some of the researchers within Working Life and Health Promotion.

Designing Human Technologies has a wide technological concept with the human principle that the users, the target group and the central interested parties must be involved in ethical and society related considerations, in the design process itself and in the verifying of the designed contribution to the fulfilment of need and solution of a problem. The priority area is built on a thorough analysis on how designs are used and included in the human life and how to design solutions for select issues. Designing Human Technologies includes information and communication technology, mobility technology, environment/sustainable technology, energy technology and technology in connection with city design, natural resorts, innovative and appealing space and experiences, physical planning and organisation, climate adaptation, solutions of information and communication technology, policies, products, service and/or experiences.

The priority area runs in close connection with the development of existing and new programmes within the interdisciplinary technical and scientific faculty of the university.
