Research and education within Environmental Risk
The Environmental Risk Strategic research initiative, starting in 2013, represents an investment and gear up of Environmental Science research at the Department of Environmental, Social and Spatial Change (ENSPAC). This coincides perfectly with the start of the new, international Master’s degree (M.Sc.) programme in Environmental Risk.
Most of the researchers involved in the strategic research initiative will have key teaching and project supervision roles in the Master’s programme as well as current environmentally oriented subjects (Environmental Biology, Geography, Tek-Sam) offered by the Department. Furthermore, Gary Banta who is coordinator for the Environmental Risk strategic research initiative is also the Head of Studies for Environmental Risk. Research and education within Environmental Risk are thus naturally linked and will stimulate each other.
