The Doctoral School of Society and Globalisation
The Doctoral School of Society and Globalisation (ISG) is a large and active school with more than 50 PhD students. The school provides PhD training and research within the interdisciplinary, international, and professional environment of the ISG. There are two PhD programmes at the Department:
The PhD programme International Development Studies aims at addressing and exploring the broad themes of institutions and conflict in development. Political, economic and cultural institutions and conflicts are studied from an interdisciplinary angle, taking up the discussion at local, national and international levels.
The PhD programme Governance, Welfare and Citizenship focuses on how governance is performed, how welfare policies and services are developed and produced, and what role citizens play in this process.
