Information meeting about Environmental Risk
– a new, multidisciplinary Master’s (kandidat) program starting in September 2013
RUC and ENSPAC are offering a new, international Master’s program in Environmental Risk (ER) that is starting in September 2013.
Very briefly, ER is an interdisciplinary 2 years Master’s program in environmental risk with the goal of providing graduates with the necessary scientific background and tools to bring environmental science into the assessment and management of environmental issues. The range of environmental risk topics covered is broad, ranging from natural events such as volcanos and landslides to man-made hazards such as nutrient and chemical pollution.
The program is weighted towards the natural sciences, but includes relevant aspect of social sciences that are useful for putting science into practical management of environmental risk issues.
If this sounds interesting, please come and hear more at an information meeting Wednesday, December 12 at 1 pm in Building 12.2 (classroom). Gary Banta, the Head of studies, will present the program and answer questions.
Look forward to seeing you there.
