I teach Roskilde University staff professional English. I cover all types of staff and all proficiency levels. On request I develop specific seminars for specialised staff, for example laboratory staff, who need to communicate succinctly safety procedures in the lab.
In addition I offer coaching sessions for individual members and small groups of academic staff.

I have an MA from 1986 in English and Foreign Language Teaching and Learning, and from 2000 a PhD in linguistics (applied), both degrees from University of Southern Denmark. In my thesis I synthesised research in and around L2 reading, and the empirical study dealt with how young adult native speakers of English with good L1 reading skills develop L2 reading skills in Danish. My publications include a number of articles about theory and practice in L2 reading. My current research interests include L2 reading and writing.
Since 1986 I have held several project and part time teaching positions at University of Southern Denmark, a position as assistant professor at the English Department, University of Aarhus, and educational head of department at Ballerup Language Centre. I have also held multiple courses and seminars for a variety of teaching staffs.
