Foundation Course for international students at RUC

The next Foundation Course will take place 15-28 August 2013

Purpose

All countries have different study cultures. In order to enable international students to access the study culture at Roskilde University we provide a 2 week course designed for students from all over the world.

The aims are for the international students to

• be acquainted with different aspects of culture in Denmark in general
• be introduced to the study culture at Roskilde University in particular
• be introduced to problem oriented project work in groups
• be introduced to the university library, and how to access and use the library facilities
• be introduced to the notion of academic English
• be introduced to the Danish language
• be sociable with other students
• be familiar with campus

The course consists of a total of 56 lessons.

Class instruction, individual work and group work. Excursions are included.

The teachers are all members of the university staff.

The registration deadline is 1 August 2013

Foundation Course August 2014 will take place 18-29 August 2014. Registration will start 18 May 2014.
