Sino Danish Centre for Education and Research
The Sino Danish Centre for Education and Research (SDC) (www.sinodanishcenter.dk) was established in 2008, with the participation of eight Danish Universities in partnership with the Graduate University of the Chinese Academy of Science (GUCAS). The aim of the centre is to promote Sino-Danish collaboration in higher education and research.
Five research themes are defined for the SDC:
1) Water and Sustainable Environment
2) Renewable Energy
3) Nanoscience
4) Life Sciences
5) Social Sciences
Joint master and Ph.D. programs will be constructed and announced in each of the five research themes in the coming years. With a donation of 80 million DKK from the Danish Industry Foundation, SDC will have a physical facility available in the suburb of Beijing from 2013.
Danish researchers, who participate in the abovementioned research themes in collaboration with China, could be funded by the SDC for their salaries and travelling costs to visit or work in the respective Chinese institutions. Please check guidelines on SDC website for more detailed information on how to apply for funding from SDC.
