I teach English for academic purposes for students at the International Basic Studies Programmes as well as written communication and text production at the English Degree Programme. My research interests are academic writing, rhetoric, text linguistics, text analysis, genre analysis, plagiarism, translation, and the internationalisation of universities in Denmark and worldwide.

I hold a Danish ‘cand.mag.’ degree in English and Translation Studies (Copenhagen University), an MPhil in Modernist Studies (Glasgow University), a PhD in English Literature (Copenhagen University), and a Dr.Habil. in Translation Studies (University of Southern Denmark, Odense). I have previously taught various courses in English for academic purposes, translation, text analysis, text transformation, written communication, composition, rhetoric, as well as British and American literature at RU, Copenhagen University, University of Southern Denmark, Kolding, and Copenhagen Business School. My publications include two monographs (my PhD and habilitation dissertations), edited works, internationally peer-reviewed articles, newspaper reviews, and a major English-Danish Dictionary.

I am a member of two research groups at RUC: SCALPS (http://www.ruc.dk/cuid/forskning/forskningsgrupper/scalps/) and CALPIU (http://calpiu.dk/).
